The winners have been introduced in the Snow Statue Competitiveness at Michigan Technological
University’s Winter Carnival. This year’s theme is “Discover What Shines from Prehistoric
Instances.”
For the third time in the previous 4 several years, Phi Kappa Tau was the in general winner of
the thirty day period-long snow statue opposition. Their statue “Dongson Fishing Village” is
located outside of the fraternity property in Hancock.
There have been three divisions in the thirty day period-very long competition—men, gals and co-ed. Prizes
have been awarded to the prime three statues in each division. The prime three scores among
all the statues have been positioned in the in general thirty day period-very long class.
Next location in the in general division went to Tau Kappa Epsilon for their statue entitled
“Stone Age.” 3rd location went to the co-ed group of Sigma Tau Gamma and Alpha Gamma
Delta for “Wooly Mammoth Surrounded by Saber Tooth Tigers.”
Phi Kappa Tau and Tau Kappa Epsilon positioned a single-two respectively in the Men’s Division.
3rd location was Delta Sigma Phi for “Dinosaurs.”
The Sigma Tau Gamma and Alpha Gamma Delta group captured 1st location in the Co-Ed Division,
followed by Sigma Phi Epsilon and Delta Phi Epsilon for “Caveman All around a Hearth with
Resources, Crafts and Cave Paintings,” even though third location went to Delta Zeta and Triangle
for “Ice Age.”
Alpha Sigma Tau was the lone entry in the Women’s Division with “Jurassic Park.”
In the all-nighter statue opposition, St. Albert the Excellent College Parish captured
their fourth-straight in general victory as very well as successful the Co-ed Division. Next
location in general and in Co-ed went to Pavlis Honors Higher education for “Dig Site of Dinosaur
Bones.” Lutheran Campus Ministry ELCA took third location in both divisions with “The
Golden Ratio.”
In the Men’s Division, the Society of American Foresters took 1st location with “Lake
Sturgeon,” followed by the Society of African American Gentlemen for “Dino Egg,” and Mama’s
Boys (East McNair 4th Floor) finished third with “Dig Site”.
The Society of Ladies Engineers received the Women’s Division class for the statue “Cave”.
